C. 2100

ART DIRECT THAT LOCATION (2015)

American Film Institute class project in which an existing location is transformed into a Rare Books and Manuscripts Library C. 2100.

The design concept is to create the illusion of an ever-extending and stretching labyrinth resulting in the feeling of unlimited, expanding space as we travel further into the depths.

The concept is accomplished by applying a combination of mirrored floors and ceilings in conjunction with pathways of solid flooring and ceiling areas, to shape a series of bridges and landings, and create the in-camera effect of never-ending space.

Key Frame Illustration done by hand, painted in Photoshop

Drawings done in AutoCAD

Director's plans and elevations done in AutoCAD, colored in Photoshop
